Settings

The general settings module contains a range of options that impact how lab users and clinicians use Connect Cloud.

Note: Brand and theme settings are not available on all plans.

Client Directory (Manage Clients)

The client directory option is an important feature that dictates how clinicians can access the lab provided link so analyze scans and submit orders.

Manage Clients - On

When the client directory is activated, a list of users is made available in the sidebar.

These are the accounts that can access your NC Lab clinician ordering portal via the provided URL.

If a clinicians details are not included here, they cannot login to the labs portal.

A key benefit of using the client directory is that all cases submitted by that user are easily collated and managed from within the Connect Cloud portal.

Manage Clients - Off

When the client directory is turned off, users can access the labs portal via the link and inputting the unique Scan Gauge Kit serial no. located on the top left of the tray.

As every Connect Cloud account has Scan Gauge Kit license/s tied to their account, these serve as unique access points to analyze and order a case.

Important: The serial no. used to login to Nexus Connect Lab must be the same as the kit used to perform the scans being analyzed. Once a kit is input, it is associated to the uploaded scans - If this kit is wrong, the accuracy of the case will likely diminish and may be unusable.

Immediate Workflow

The immediate workflow toggle turns on two prompts in the clinician portal:

  1. Existing Patient (New or Existing)
  2. Case Type (Immediate or Final)

Note: Nexus Connect Lab does not offer immediate design services. Immediate provisionals are intended to be created in a timely manner by the lab using the Abutment Export function.

Important: If the lab does not have the ability to use the Abutment Export function independently to design a case, its recommended to leave the immediate workflow setting turned off.

Existing Patient

This feature is intended to link patients who have had a previous case completed with NC Lab. ie. patient Jack Brown had an immediate provisional delivered by the lab (using abutments exports for implant location) and is now going to final.

If a clinician selects Existing Patient, the lab will be prompted to link the new order with an existing case order for easier case management.

Case Type

The case type prompt asks the clinician if the case is a Surgical (Immediate Case) or a Restorative (Final Case). This is to inform the lab of the type, and urgency, of the case being submitted.

This also adds the functionality of "case session" in the lab inbox. Allowing for various scanning sessions (patient appointments) to be listed under a single case.

Ordering Website

The ordering website is your dedicated URL that is provided to your clinicians for scan analysis and ordering.

You may change the URL ending to match your labs name or brand.

Note: Changing the URL will mean that any existing users will need the new details or link sent to them, it is advised to update this before sharing to any clinicians and keeping it for the entire use of the product.

Theme & Logo (Custom Branding)

Some plans include the ability to adjust what the clinician portal link looks like.

The theme settings includes color adjustments to the background and buttons.

These changes are to provide a level of customized branding to create a harmonious user experience for clinicians familiar with the labs brand.

The example below includes a custom logo that appears in the header and main module body, as well as a subtle custom background gradient.
