Existing Denture - Dual Arch Case Scans

Restorative scans necessary to take a patient who has existing dentures and integrated implants on the upper and lower arches, to a new Nexus or other prosthesis.

Scans for a Dual arch case:

  • Upper (Denture in-situ, stabilized with a wash impression).
  • Lower (Denture in-situ, stabilized with a wash impression).
  • Bite Scan (Left Side)
  • Bite Scan (Right Side)
  • Upper Scan Gauge Scan (Left to Right)
  • Upper Scan Gauge Scan (Right to Left)
  • Upper Tissue Scan (with Healing Caps, or using Narrow Scan Bodies)
  • Upper Existing Denture with wash impression Extra-Orally 360°
  • Lower Scan Gauge Scan (Left to Right)
  • Lower Scan Gauge Scan (Right to Left)
  • Lower Tissue Scan (with Healing Caps, or using Narrow Scan Bodies)
  • Lower Existing Denture with wash impression Extra-Orally 360°

Patient Photos:

  • Full-face, relaxed bite smiling
  • Full-face, relaxed bite smiling with retractors

After Scanning & Photos:

  • Export Scan Gauge Scans as .STL files/
  • Upload in Nexus Connect to analyze repeatability.
  • Once successful, export all remaining scans and continue with Nexus Connect order.

If scans fail alignment, ensure placement and scanning guidance is followed.
